How Can You Help?

It is a joy and a privilege to be able to worship in a church which has been used by Christians for over 800 years, a church which was probably predated by a wooden building for several centuries before.

Unfortunately, buildings of a certain age do need specialist care and maintenance and money is always required to preserve our church (as well as paying our diocesan quota, of course)

The best way of helping to maintain the church and the Church would be to become a regular worshipper and give generously of the gifts that you have received, but there are other ways in which you can help;

The parish events committee organises a number of social and fund-raising events throughout the year - garden suppers, a Christmas Fayre, and so on.  Further details are available from Kathy Collins (Tel: 01796 428145) This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. The Friends of Borden Church is a group whose fund-raising efforts are directed specifically towards maintaining the fabric of our beautiful building.  Since inception in 2002, the Friends have raised funds to make various repairs including the complete interior redecoration which was completed in 2006.   They organise events like Barn Dances, Strawberry Teas, Wine & Wisdom Evenings, History Evenings.  Further details are available from the Friends Website Friends Website.
